Welcome to our website, we hope you enjoy your visit and come back again.

Our Union was formed shortly after the creation of our State in 1996 and has been growing from strength to strength since then. We are a non political umbrella group for all Ebonyians in the UK and Ireland that promotes unity, traditional values and culture, networking and support to all.

Some of the projects we have started and continue to support over the years include family meetings, annual family days out, annual Iri Ji (New Yam) celebration, The Ebonyi Foundation (our charitable arm under the guidance of Dr Mark Abani), the list goes on.

We are also actively involved in other Igbo umbrella groups like Ohanaeze Ndigbo Nigeria & UK, Council Of Igbo Communities UK (C.I.C UK), European Igbo Community (EIC), Igbo World Assembly (IWA), South-East Nigeria Economic Commission (SENEC) etc and the much wider Nigerian umbrella groups like the Central Association of Nigerians in the UK (CANUK) whose founding and current President is an Ebonyian – Dr Mark Abani -  and the numerous Nigerian Professional Organisations. There have been a few members who have lead the Union from the front and these include Dr Mark Abani, Mr Nnnachi, Mr Oka Ama, plus all of the past and present executive members who all strongly believe in and practice our ethos.
